Michele’s granola

I first met Michele in the aughts. She was one of my first clients and is still one of my favorites. Michele started making her granola locally in Baltimore, selling it in farmer’s markets. Now, it is available nationwide in Whole Foods, and there are even trucks with the logo and bags running the full length. I like to think my work helped in this, but the fact is, the granola is awesome.

We thought an art nouveau style portrait of her would help tell the story of her excellent granola, how it's made with care and with healthy ingredients. The organic swirling border suggests the wafting fragrance of baking granola. The label changes color per flavor, and so do the contents of her basket. In this way, the logo is flexible and expressive of the flavors.
