This logo is a portrait of the client, Michele, who has been making her excellent granola since 2006. Michele’s Granola is packaged in simple kraft bags. There is not a lot of real estate to express the flavor or ingredients of the granola, so we rely on the logo—in particular, the contents of Michele’s basket. We can add flavor cues, and change the colors, but the logo remains recognizable. Michele’s has grown from a local Baltimore brand to a nationwide brand, in more than 800 stores, including Whole Foods.
